This is a portrait from one of my first photo sessions ever! Now I know how brave I was. I started strong, and with a good challenge as I took my client to the Belgian seaside during summer holidays time.
When I met Jacolien few years ago, she dreamed of a unique photo session experience. When I proposed to her the concept of having a session on location, in a fabulous white dress with countless balloons…. she was all in! Awwwwww….and she looked incredible!
She wanted something different for her photo session form the conventional beauty shot, and that’s what she got.
We went to Ostend… it was a beautiful sunny day, with hundreds of people all around us. When we passed by that captivation place, you see in the picture, I knew I wanted that shot… So… as I was working alone, there was no one to help me out with the crowd control. It took loads of asking big groups of people to clear the path just for few minuets, just so I could take this shot. That day everybody was amazing… They were the nicest people on holidays ever! I had to edit just 2 or 3 people passing by, but other than that you would never guess that we were surrounded by hundreds.
Despite the crowds, and at the end of the day, thanks to everybody being so kind and thoughtful… we had an amazing day! It was a special treat for both of us! Awwwwww… I love empowering women through my craft!
